Madrid

Madrid is great. It would be even better than Barcelona if it was near the sea.
Museums are incredible and you can see some of the most famous masterpieces in human arts.
Del Prado and Reina Sofia museums are a must-go.

On the left is the Royal Palace on the right is the City Hall square. The city is so beautiful and there are many places for sightseeing.

A good meeting point is in Puerta del Sol (on the left). It's the heart of the city, incredibly busy and lively anyday, anytime. There are very many shops, restaurants, pubs, tapas bar...

I don't know what the bronze bear on the left represents, but is one on the landmarks in Puerta del Sol.

For example you can go to Cervezeria AlemaƱa (= german brewery): it was one of Hemingway's favourite tapas bars.

And finally a wonderful park: El Retiro. It's very big and many people go there in the weekend.
Below is one of the most beautiful place inside the park.

Barcelona

What can I say of Barcelona? It's such a wonderful city as everybody knows: good food, night life, art, tapas and sangria, the sea, anything you might want.

This is of course the Sacrada Familia. Actually seeing it in person it's really impressive. It's huge, imponent, baroque, crazy, unique. Hard to describe by words, you have to be there.

Besides this famous building Barcelona has lot of things to offer. It's just so nice to walk on Las Rumblas, or eating paella by the sea.

I have also seen La Font Magica in Montjuic park, a wonderful fountain with incredible shows of lights and water at night. Unfortunately it was night so no nice pictures of it.

Copenhagen - The mermaid

This is the famous mermaid of Copenhagen. Well not much to say about it, except that since it was a particularly hot summer there was a strange smell due to the seaweeds...
